Amazon seller tools with API: 20 platforms compared

Can ChatGPT read your Seller Central data? Which tools offer a real API, which have an MCP server, and which only export a spreadsheet? We checked the vendor documentation so you do not have to decode the marketing.

Can an AI agent read your Amazon seller data?

Yes — but only after you authorize a service that already holds the right Amazon permissions, or connect an agent through an MCP server. A conventional API does not let ChatGPT connect itself; it still needs code or middleware.

There are now three workable routes. A developer can query a public API, a compatible assistant can call an MCP server, or a seller can export a CSV and analyze the snapshot. Those routes are not interchangeable. They differ in freshness, cost, technical effort and — most importantly — the data they expose.

Market-intelligence services such as Keepa, Jungle Scout and SmartScout expose estimates and competitive data. Operator platforms such as DataHawk, Pacvue, Intentwise and Jarvio are aimed at a seller’s own connected accounts. Connecting Amazon to a tool is not the same thing as that tool exposing a public API to you.

What is the difference between an API, MCP server and data export?

An API is for software, MCP is for AI assistants, and an export is a file. The first two can deliver live or frequently refreshed data; an export is a snapshot that you move manually or on a schedule.

A

API

Your code authenticates, sends requests to defined endpoints and handles responses, pagination and rate limits. Best for repeatable workflows, databases and custom apps.

M

MCP server

An AI assistant discovers approved tools and calls them on your behalf. Best for asking questions in natural language. It still needs authentication, permissions and an underlying data source.

E

CSV or Sheets export

You download or schedule a table, then work with it in Excel, Google Sheets or a BI tool. It is cheaper and simpler, but it is not automatically live.

The distinction that catches buyers: a vendor may use Amazon’s SP-API internally while giving customers no API at all. That is the case for many dashboards. Likewise, a Zapier integration, scheduled email or internal Amazon SQS event is not a documented customer webhook.

Which Amazon seller tools have an API, MCP server or export?

Keepa has the most mature self-service combination of public API documentation, published token mechanics and a hosted MCP server. Jungle Scout is the clearest paid research API; enterprise platforms lead on first-party account data; most classic seller suites still rely on exports.

How to read “not found”: it means we could not locate current customer-facing documentation on the vendor’s official site in October 2026. It does not prove that a private integration is impossible. Enterprise contracts often expose capabilities that are not advertised publicly.

Which Amazon seller tool has the most mature API?

Keepa is the strongest self-service API in this group for Amazon product and price-history data. It combines detailed documentation, predictable token accounting, official client libraries and a hosted MCP server that uses the same subscription balance.

Best-documented market-data API

Keepa

Best when you need price history, offers, sellers, categories and repeatable product-level queries. It is not a replacement for your Seller Central finance stack.

Clearest research API pricing

Jungle Scout

The published request bundles and throttle make budgeting easier. It is a strong Keepa API alternative when estimates, keywords and product discovery matter more than raw price history.

Best brand-level data depth

SmartScout

Its documented brand, seller, product and category endpoints are unusually rich, but API access is sales-led and the numeric rate ceiling is not public.

Best published MCP report limits

Pacvue

Pacvue publishes concrete report boundaries — 50,000 rows, two years of history and 180 days per pull — while most MCP vendors publish no numeric limits.

Lowest published MCP add-on

Mettra

At $10.83/month billed yearly, Mettra makes agent access inexpensive, but 50 monthly requests and limited public developer documentation keep it behind the mature APIs.

Best Sheets-first workflow

Jarvio

Scheduled delivery to Google Sheets is more useful than an API for many operating teams. Compare the agent-first approaches in Jarvio vs Mettra.

No platform wins every column. Keepa leads on API maturity, Pacvue publishes the clearest MCP report limits, SmartScout offers deeper brand intelligence, Jarvio is stronger for scheduled operating workflows, and Mettra is cheaper to try but materially more constrained. That is exactly why “has API” is too shallow a buying criterion.

How much does API or MCP access cost?

Published entry costs range from a $10.83 monthly MCP add-on to enterprise contracts with no public price. The real cost is the base subscription plus access fee, request allowance, overages and the labor required to maintain the connection.

Mettra$10.83/month billed yearly for the MCP add-on; 50 requests/month. Base account requirements still apply.
Jungle ScoutEligible base plan plus $29 for 1,000, $99 for 4,000 or $199 for 10,000 monthly requests; $0.05 overage.
SellerSpriteSeparate endpoint packages. Published options start around $99/month and climb to $899/month depending on dataset and allowance.
JarvioGrowth is $149 per brand/month for up to 500 SKUs; the public MCP documentation does not publish a numeric call cap.
SmartScoutBusiness is $239/month and includes Snapshot MCP. Full MCP and API access are enterprise or add-on conversations.
Enterprise groupDataHawk, Pacvue, Intentwise, Stackline and Quartile use custom or account-dependent pricing.

Keepa publishes its token mechanics in detail but exposes plan pricing inside the customer account rather than on the documentation page. This is a reminder that transparent limits and transparent prices are separate tests.

Do you need an API if you manage 20 SKUs?

No. A seller with 20 SKUs does not need an API to run the business. A scheduled report or weekly CSV will usually be cheaper, easier to audit and fast enough for every meaningful decision.

20 SKUs

Use exports. Weekly profit, inventory and PPC files are enough. Buy an API only if you are building software rather than merely operating the catalog.

100–500 SKUs

Consider scheduled data. Sheets delivery, warehouse sync or no-code automation becomes useful when repetitive reporting consumes several hours a week.

500+ SKUs or multiple brands

Evaluate API or MCP. The case strengthens when several marketplaces, analysts, agencies or automated decisions depend on the same data.

Revenue alone is a poor threshold. An agency with 80 SKUs across ten client accounts may need automation sooner than a private-label brand with 600 stable variations. The useful question is: how many repeated decisions depend on data that is currently copied by hand?

Browse the broader AI tools, market-intelligence tools and seller suites before paying for an integration layer you may not use.

What can you do if your Amazon seller tool has no API?

Start with CSV, Excel or a scheduled Google Sheets report. For most sellers, the fastest solution is moving a reliable table on a schedule — not maintaining a custom integration.

  1. Export the smallest useful dataset.Pull SKU, date, sales, fees, ad spend, stock and price. Avoid a giant “everything” export that nobody can validate.
  2. Use a stable Sheet as the handoff layer.Tools such as Jarvio can deliver reports to Google Sheets; many others export CSV that can be imported in seconds.
  3. Automate the transfer before automating decisions.A connector, browser extension or scheduled report can remove copy-paste work without giving an agent permission to change campaigns or prices.
  4. Move to API only when freshness changes an action. If daily data is enough, a daily export is enough. Pay for live access when stale data creates inventory, pricing or ad-spend risk.
  5. Treat write access as a security decision.Read our companion guide, AI agents for sellers: the security questions nobody asks, before enabling autonomous actions.

How do you export Amazon seller data to Google Sheets?

Use native scheduled delivery when it exists; otherwise import a CSV or connect a documented API through a small script or no-code connector. Google Sheets is an excellent operating layer, but it should not become an ungoverned database.

Jarvio is the clearest option in this group for scheduled reports to Sheets. sellerboard, Helium 10, ZonGuru, Perpetua, Teikametrics, Seller Snap and BQool offer practical file exports even though we found no public customer API. For a larger operation, DataHawk’s warehouse delivery or Intentwise’s data infrastructure is cleaner than stacking thousands of rows into one Sheet.

Rule of thumb: Sheets is for review, lightweight modeling and team handoffs. A warehouse is for history, joins and scale. An API is the pipe — not the database and not the decision logic.

Does Helium 10 have a public API?

We found no current public customer API or official MCP server in Helium 10’s vendor documentation as of October 2026. Helium 10 does provide CSV and Excel exports across multiple tools, which is enough for many research workflows.

This is a good example of why an Amazon connection should not be mistaken for developer access. Helium 10 can ingest authorized account data without offering you public endpoints to retrieve the same information programmatically. If your buying requirement is specifically “Helium 10 API,” ask sales for a written answer covering endpoints, plan eligibility, rate limits and permitted data retention before signing.

Which Amazon seller tool should you choose for API access?

Choose by data type and workflow, not by the API badge. Keepa is the strongest documented choice for product and price history; Jungle Scout is easier to budget for research; SmartScout is compelling for brand intelligence; Pacvue, DataHawk and Intentwise fit larger first-party data operations; Jarvio and Mettra make agent access more approachable at different price and capability levels.

The verdict

Most sellers do not need a public API. They need a dependable export, a clean model and a repeatable decision process. Buy API access when you have a defined automated job, a measurable time saving and someone who will own the integration. Choose an MCP server when natural-language analysis is the goal, but verify permissions, logs, reversibility and limits first. For a small catalog, keep the stack simple; for a multi-brand operation, prioritize documentation and data governance over the cheapest connector.

How was this comparison checked?

TrustsMatch reviewed current official vendor product pages, help centers, developer documentation and pricing pages in October 2026. API and MCP references: Keepa, Jungle Scout, SmartScout, DataHawk, SellerSprite, Pacvue, Intentwise, Stackline, Jarvio, Jinnify, Mettra, Informed Repricer and Quartile.

Export and pricing references: Helium 10, sellerboard, ZonGuru, Perpetua, Teikametrics, Seller Snap and BQool. “No public documentation found” is deliberately narrower than “the capability does not exist.” Prices exclude taxes and can change.
